understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
My friend who is an opltician told me that last year one of her Clients told her that she was going to China specifically to see the Terracotta Soldiers.
Later that year she was passing a charity shop and saw a 'terracotta soldier' inside and thought I will buy that for my client. Later that day and almost a year later the Client came into her premises for an eye test
