understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
My Mum and I were on hliday in Paris. As we strolled down the Champs Elysee we decided to stop at the next cafe, to sit outside and watch people.
As we approached the outdoor seating area we plonked down our shopping bags and went to take a seat, when I noticed some graffitti scrawled on the table.
It read "GUY"
Guy is my last name.
