Statistical Prize draw oddity

understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
I bought a quantity of Irish Prize Bonds, and in the first year I had 29 small wins. This is better than two every month, or better than 50-50 odds in the weekly draw!
One week I had 5 wins ! what are the chances ?
I doubled my holding, but in the second year I won less than the first !
