Serendipitous Synchronicity

As of the 23rd May 2022 this website is archived and will receive no further updates.

understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.

Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.

One day I had gotten a strong inclination to look up the word Serendipity in a dictionary to see if it might have something to do with 333, as I had been seeing those numbers surface around me. Sure enough, it did in this particular dictionary. Afterwards, I go to step outside and the next thing I notice was a van drive by with a business name along the side which was also~Serendipity!Later on that day I just so happen to notice that my friend whom I was staying with also had a bible called a serendipity bible. Which I had never heard of either!
