understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
I was talking with a workmate today (11 Feb 2013) and he said he found a place to live sharing with a roommate. He said his name was Ken and to his surprise was oriental with a buzz cut because he said he sounded white on the phone.
I got home later that night and there was nothing on tv, so my wife suggested watching netflix. I| decided on "This Means War" starring Reese Witherspoon. Within about the first 15 minutes, Reese runs into her old boyfriend who is now attached and she plays up the fact that she is attached too and his name is Ken. The next scene shoots to her entering a sushi bar and says hi to the Ken she was actually referring to who is an oriental chef with a buzz cut (he had a hat on but I'm assuming)
