understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
My daughter was born in Liverpool, England by emergency c section, 22 months later my 2nd child was born in Stirling, Scotland, the consultant who was due to perform my section was, at the last minute, unable to do it and another was brought in. Coincidence this was the same consultant who delivered my daughter in Liverpool(250 miles away ) 22 months earlier.
