understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.

What's funny is that once I used four letters from the street name of an address I lived at as a little girl and the four digit number to that address. When I was helping my mom with computer stuff at that time, she had the exact same password. We hadn't ever discussed it and we had lived in a lot of places while I was growing up so it was funny that we'd both used bits of an address from the same place in the same order.
