The Name Colorado

understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
I live in Michigan and my girlfriend introduced me to her brother who lives in Colorado. We talked for a couple months on the phone and then he came to visit. We had a fantastic time while he was here but when he went home he realized that he was still hung up on an old girlfriend. We are still friends and talk every once in awhile. Since then it has been really weird that the name of Colorado or a city in Colorado keeps on appearing at least once a day. Could be on the TV in a movie or news, in a book, or just talking to people. Also, a few times I have called my girlfriend and she says that she just got off the phone with her brother or he just texted her.
