understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
In my childhood one night when there is power cut at home, In the dark I randomly picked two playing cards from the pack and guessed what these card can be, when the power returned I was shocked to see both the cards are exactly same as I guessed. Later I religiously used them as my lucky cards and carried them everywhere, which never showed any luck again LOL.
