understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
When I was cycling home from school - and I had to cycle quite some distance, that is 24 miles a day - I thought I saw my old German teachers which I hadn't seen in like 3 to 4 years.
I almost shouted his name. But as I watched closely I realized it wasn't him.
Not 5 minutes later, who do you think I ran into. Exactly, my German teacher, which I hadn't seen in 3 to 4 years.
