understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
arriving back in england after a long flight I was waiting for my case to arrive on the bagage conveyer belt. I saw it coming,and I reached out for it.The man standing next to me said "I think that is my case" I said "I don't think so pointing out that it has my name on it G.Cox.He said this IS my case,my name is G Cox. It's then I realize that although this looks like my case I didn't have my name written on my case.
So the man standing next to me has the same name as me and a case almost exactly the same as mine.
