understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
A miracle. What makes you know what is the miracle? It is when something happens quite usually when it has like .0001 chance of it happening. I have been developing a submission to the LORD, and his "miracles" have been proving to me that this universe's context is not based on mathematical possibilities but on the will of the one mighty deity. We all pull our cell phones quite usually. if, in the screen, you see "sets" of "similar" numbers or immediate changes in the minute digit area, you think there is something quite weird. A few weeks ago, I made my first $600 sale. As I was trying to pull out my phone to see the date and record it on the order form, the digits were 7:17 17%. I thought: "No one grants me other than the God." I took a screen shot of it like every time when I see a dramatic coincidence. A few days ago, I texted the most important cousin, who I have been isolating myself from him due to some problems. He texts me back, and the screen shows his text and, over it, 5:55 44%. One day, my dad was coming back from a one month trip. When I didn't want to leave the college campus on the first day of that weekend, but thought: "I should not make my dad feel unimportant, so I should go home," I was making a good decision. When I go in my car, I looked and saw 5:55 55%. It was since then, I started giving importance to the coincidences with lots of digits. Here in my "photos," I see 11:11 44%, 9:59 55%, 4:43 43%, 7:00 70%, 8:44 8%, 2:22 22%. Plus, when I, one time, saw 11:13 13%, I thought, "what a coincidence!" I turned on my Ipad and in a split of a second, the seconds digit changed to 4 making 11:14 14%. Coincidences do not happen quite frequently if mathematical possibilities create nature. People, you can't see the God, but He sees you. Be glad you still have a life's chance to give a sample of who you really are. I believe we all are getting judged. I warn and congratulate you. Be the best!
