Lost diamond

understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
I was helping my children ride their pony. After we had finished I noticed my grandmother's diamond was missing from her engagement ring that I wear all of the time. I hunted and hunted for it but as my yard was surrounded by gravel did not find it.
I went back inside, walked out of the back door, saw a glint from the sun being reflected from something and it was my diamond shining in the middle of a big gravel drive.
