understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.

I am a teacher and yesterday (Friday 13th) was on lunchtime duty (1.30 - 2 pm) in the common room used by our year 8s . Four girls were playing pool in a miniature table (about 2 m by 80 cm). One girl hit a ball, which bounced off the table, into the glass door, smashing the glass. The ball was the number 13 ball.
