understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
I was at the Genealogical Society HQ investigating a family story that said Lucy Walters was an antecedent. She [I have now deleted the rest of this story because I do not wish my name to go forward, however, you may like to read what is written below.]
You will not be able to find an explanation for coincidence until you grasp the nettle of fourth dimension physics. The world is not 3D, it is a creation of our own minds. As Bishop Berkeley said over 200 years ago, "All reality is illusion". Western orthodox physics is in error.
