understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
I had a dream and I was back at my old work place -we were made redundant 3 years ago - and some one said the only person they were concerened about was one of the men which they named but I only heard their surname. I went to the nurse this morning to have a routine blood test and there sitting in the waiting room was the twin brother of this person. They are identical and hard to tell apart. He had come off his bike and and was holding a bag of ice to a large bump on his head!!!!!
I do have lots of other instances were I'm reading the newspaper and the same story comes up on the tv new even down to the point where I read the same word at the same time as the newsreader!!!!
