understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
My parents got married on 27 dec 1937.
they were married 37 years before Dad died in 1974
Mum lived another 27 years before she died
They both died on 17th of the month, and Dad was in the RAF 17th squadron during the war and though it was his lucky number as he survived the war.
