Birthday & relationship coincidences

understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
My birthday fell on the same day as my mother, and my younger sisters birthday fell on the same day as my father.
Also, I ended up marrying the girl who lived 6 doors down from me all through our childhood. I moved away for a number of years, and after comming back home, met up and have now been happily married for 18 years. This has a further coincidence, as her parents lived opposite my grandmothers house before living 6 doors apart from me.
