understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
I was born on March 5, 1962. In US date pattern it's 3-5-62. 3 +5 = 8, 6+2=8. Just funny.
My daughter was born on September 4, 1994. In US date pattern that's 9-4-94. 9+4=13, both times.
My grandfather died on 04-04-04, US or European it's still April 4, 2004.
there are many other numerical oddities in my life, but these are the fun ones.
