Anniversary coincidence

understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
I went for an appointment at a dentist I had not used before and, as you do, picked up the nearest book to read in the waiting room. It was a glossy book (which I had never heard of) of photographs all taken on the same day around Britain, mostly of people at work, with a foreword by the Duchess of York. When I looked at the date the photos were taken, it was 10 years to the day before the date I was looking at it - and, no, the dentist's name was not Sarah Ferguson!
I have two far more amazing work-related coincidences, which are probably too complicated to relate in this format.
