understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
Following the Art Hindle coincidence previously alluded to, having looked up The National Tree with Andrew McCarthy, the search results showed that Andrew had also appeared in another film called 'The Christmas Tree' which was had a similar type of story to the film I had looked up.
I did not think too much about it until I got home today to find that very film on the tv.
It's not even Christmas!
