someone wanted books

understandinguncertainty.org was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.

Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.

I work at a used bookstore. I often bring old books home to check value and then return them to the store. I have had one bag of books at my house for several months from the shop. A couple of days ago, I put them in my car. Today (first day working after putting them in the car) a woman came in looking for the exact type books I had in my car. These were old school reading books from around 1950. She was so thrilled and bought several. I don't remember anyone coming in and asking about old school readers before today.
