was produced by the Winton programme for the public understanding of risk based in the Statistical Laboratory in the University of Cambridge. The aim was to help improve the way that uncertainty and risk are discussed in society, and show how probability and statistics can be both useful and entertaining.
Many of the animations were produced using Flash and will no longer work.
Recently, I visited Edinburgh staying in an Air BnB. As you do, I looked in the visitors book and noticed that “Liz and Tom” from Market Bosworth had stayed there a couple of years before.
I know a Liz and Tom from Market Bosworth and wondered, could it really be them? Market Bosworth is a small town but there might be a different Liz and Tom.
When I returned home I contacted them and we established that we had, indeed, both stayed in the same flat.
